Cemetery Cold Spots
Back in August 2004, myself and three of my friends traveled to a cemetery
in Connecticut. It is close to my home, so I figured we may as well
check it out, have a good scare, and come home. Well, we got a lot more
than we bargained for. My dad and friend had gone into the cemetery
the previous year and noted that they were very drawn to an old oak
tree that's there off the far right of the cemetery. They also stated
they felt the temperature drop intensely. I figured it was all in their
minds and decided to check it out for myself. So we go in and start
looking around and snapping photos with my friend's digital camera.
I would have included pictures, but they didn't come out. It was just
blackness until we were out of the cemetery even though it was only
6 at night and still pretty light outside. We were looking around and
strangely we all kind of met up at that tree. I'm telling you, as God
is my witness, there was such a significant drop in the temperature
my friend and I clung together to warm up. We stood together while the
two guys that came with us climbed a little into the tree to take aerial
shots of the cemetery. Suddenly, I felt something touch my elbow; a
light squeeze. I screamed and started running.
The two guys calmed me down and we walked to the treeline. Suddenly,
we heard something that was close to someone walking through the woods.
Not animal sounds, but a definite person walking. When we turned to
look towards a tall pine tree, we heard the steps increase to running
and then silence. We walked towards the steps and under bent down saplings
came upon three stones that were unmarked. We decided it was a great
time to leave. As we looked up towards the exit, we saw a white form,
not a person, but just this white form about twenty feet in front of
us. Just as soon as it had appeared, it disappeared. We left. The next
day, the gates to the cemetery were closed, and just recently reopened
a few weeks ago.
